What a lovely morning of yoga, mindfulness and little ones!
At yesterday’s Shanghai Family and Parents&Kids first ever coffee and chats event, over fifteen people from the community and their children came along, yoga kits at the ready, to join us for a relaxing morning of stretching and mindfulness.
With wellness as our first theme, we were first joined by yoga instructor Evasana, who demonstrated some classic yoga poses for beginners (with a cheeky toddler twist), such as the Downward Dog, the Mountain Pose, the Rising Sun and the Crane Pose.
We were then joined by Lorna Jutton from LunaMindfulness who shared some helpful tips on how to bring mindfulness into our lives and our children’s without making it feel like a chore. This included methods on how to practice mindful meditation, how to quieten daily racing thoughts and how to be kinder to ourselves.
The event was concluded with coffee, chitchat and baby mayhem.
Keep an eye out for future coffee and chat events coming soon!
A huge thank you to Kohler for providing our location and to Sugarmats for supporting our event with their eco-friendly, beautifully designed yoga mats.
